Journey to a village

The local transport:

Remote Small villages in Rajasthan, still don’t have Roadways buses for the transportation so private buses do the work. These buses connect these small villages to rest of the rajasthan. Even the private buses are not in sufficient number and one can see that these buses are generally over crowded.

The "kachchi sadak" Roads which connect these villages generally don’t have any coaltar or concrete, so lot of dust and sand is there for the travelers. If you are on such ways and you are allergic to dust then you are in a problem. And such roads in Rajasthan don’t have shadows of trees due to a dry climate, only shrubs survives there.

The locals:

You can identify any local very easily the dressing style of a typical Rajasthani somewhat resembles to a Gujraati but the turban is different. The dress is consist of two parts “bagatari” the upper part and “dhoti” the lower part.

The Houses:

The houses are painted with some quotes or some drawings called as “fad”.

The animals:

People of villages have many pets like cows, buffalows , goats & sheeps but cows are considered to be more useful because they give milk, manure,& a calf as well which grows up to be a bull to plough the fields.

The drought:

Rajasthan faces the least rain fall and one can see it’s effect on animals. When one is not capable of feeding his animal than they let them go for surviving on thier own and the pets have to rely on the shrubs and the little grass present.
